Sun 10 Sutherland Walk: The Wallumarra Track, Royal National Park. Meet at the start of the track at 10am. Leader: Dan Clarke. Almost the whole range of vegetation within the Royal National park can be observed, beginning with a mixture of wet and dry heath, taller dry sclerophyll woodland, into some spectacular wet sclerophyll forest, and finishing in the warm temperate rainforest on Bola Creek. This track was specifically developed around 40 years ago for its educational values with over 200 different plant species recorded along the way

Sun 26 Hunter Valley Garden Visit at Margaret and John Mitchell's garden in Aberdeen
Sun 26 Sutherland Walk: along the Forest Island Path in the Royal National Park at the southern end of Lady Carrington Drive. We understand that this area takes on a very different character in the hue of the afternoon sunlight in autumn. In addition to a great diversity of flora, in 1922, when the then National Park Trust issued a timber cutting permit for the Forest Island area, this location became notable for its role in the mobilization of a number of individuals and organisations to champion the central values of flora conservation. We will meet at the usual place near the Sutherland Leisure Centre, adjacent to the “Mad Mile” at 1 pm for a car pool or at 1.30 pm at the southern stone gateway entrance to Lady Carrington Drive.

Sun 11 Central Coast Walk: Mangrove Mountain on Pointer's property.Meet at 9.30am at the beginning of Waratah Road, cnr. Wisemans Ferry Road, next to Mangrove Mountain shops. The shops are about 25km from Kariong on Wisemans Ferry Road. From there we will car pool and drive to the property, approximately 1km drive. The walk is on a well defined path mainly around the fence line and paddock. There is a creek which can be reached by a short path through denser vegetation. The property displays a multitude of Australian natives and some endangered species. After the walk we will return to Waratah Road for lunch where there are some picnic benches and toilets. Our visit will include a half day at the Arboretum, including a guided walk, then a visit to a magnificent native garden, and finishing with afternoon tea at Pauline's place. We will be using own transport (car sharIng) to drive to the Arboretum. If you care to park at the Himalayan Cedars Picnic area within the grounds, there will be no parking fee. A few cars can then ferry us to the Visitor's Centre, parking fee $2 per hour. Commencing 10am with Morning tea at the visitor's centre. An Event Terrace Tour has been organized. This is a short, 20min, walk with a volunteer guide We will have lunch (12.30pm) at the Himalayan Cedars Picnic area and this will be followed at 1.30pm by a visit to the Walcott Native Plant Garden (20 minutes by car.) 10 Wickham Cres. Sat 14 Northern Beaches Christmas lunch 12 for 12.30pm at Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden. Barbecue chickens and bread will be supplied. Please bring a salad or dessert to add to the lunch
