Sat 7 South East Region Bush walk and social day: meet at 10.30am at the picnic area at Bodalla Park, a forested area situated off the Princes Highway, about 6km north of Narooma. We will take some easy strolls at a couple of local bushland areas. After morning tea we will take a walk around Mummaga Lake, observing the different plants and forest types, then return to the picnic area for lunch. Following lunch we will drive to the Box Cutting rainforest walk, where we will stroll among the shady gullies, learning more about plants which inhabit the rainforest. As parking is limited at the rainforest area, we will pool vehicles. Arrangements for this will be decided at lunch. Bodalla Park has just recently re-opened after some maintenance work, but you might do well to bring along a chair and even a small picnic table just in case. Please bring morning tea and lunch. Also comfortable walking shoes, hat and whatever else you might need to ensure you enjoy the day

Sun 12 Newcastle Walk at Dangar Island in the Hawkesbury River. The ferry leaves at 10am from Brooklyn (parking can be difficult so leave plenty of time to spare)
Sun 12 North Shore Visit and Walk: Hornsby Council Nursery, Britannia St, Pennant Hills 10 am - noon. This follows Ross Rapmund's talk at the Friday meeting. Afterwards we can do a short walk around the Mambara Track in the adjacent bushland across the road and see if there is anything interesting flowering. Depending on the energy of the group the walk could be extended down to Byles Creek but the aim is to be finished by noon

Sat 2 South East Region Meeting at Verdigris, a specialist fern nursery at 286 Western Distributor Road Currowan. That is about 2.86 kms north along Western Distributor Road from its junction with the Kings Highway. (Travel along the Kings Highway for about 25 kms from Batemans Bay.) Dwayne and Kylie Stocks operate the nursery and will be available to discuss ferns, how they differ from angiosperms, their identification, propagation and different places in which they like to grow. Arrive at Verdigris for a 10.30am start. Purchases will be possible but only using cash. Visit Verdigris.com.au where available ferns are detailed. (This is a wholesale nursery so it is not usually possible to purchase ferns there.)
