Australian Plants cover Australian Plants, September 2000, is a souvenir issue and gives descriptions of the bouquets given to the winning athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sydney, 2000. The bouquets were 100 percent Australian native flowers and foliage. There is a description of each flower in the bouquets and why it was chosen. As well, the September 2000 issue contains other articles and many full colour pictures of Australian flora not published elsewhere. (Each quarterly issue is A5 size, 48 pages.) The Grevillea Book (3 vols.) by Peter Olde and Neil Marriott is a complete reference to all species of Grevillea. Volume 1 contains chapters on the historical perspective, people, evolution, biology , distribution, habitat and cultivation and a botanical key to groups and species and bibliography. In Volumes 2 and 3 there is at least one large colour photograph of each of the over 340 species with an easily read description of each species and details of its occurrence, ecology and cultivation. Peter Olde and Neil Marriott have carried out extensive research in the field into the genus Grevillea. (Each volume is hardcover, A4 size, approx. 250 pages.) Wattle Gould Leaguer.

A publication of the Australian Plants Society NSW and the Gould League of NSW which gives information about Wattle, Wattle Day, Australia's floral emblem and national colours and includes ecological, horticultural and historial perspectives.

This book is aimed at students from Year 3 to Year 8 but is also good background reading for teachers and parents. It contains many activities for within and outside the classroom which span the six Key Learning Areas, giving teachers a resource to assist them in their environmental education teaching programs as well as in their students' development.
